About

The firm.

Tillbrook Financial Systems is a Pittsburgh-based firm built on a specific observation: in most small finance offices, the majority of hours go to work a well-designed system could perform, while the judgment that genuinely requires a person receives whatever time remains.

I founded Tillbrook from inside the work it now serves. I study economics at Penn State and work in the finance office of a Pittsburgh-area services firm, in precisely the cost structure Tillbrook is built for: revenue fixed by rates I don't control and expenses dominated by wages, with month-end work built on reconciliations and reporting.

The idea came from performing that month-end work firsthand. Month after month, I watched how much of it was mechanical: the same matching, the same assembly, the same formatting, the same checks. With a background in web development alongside the finance work, building systems to absorb the mechanical portion was the natural response. Tillbrook exists to build those systems for organizations that cannot justify a full-time hire to do it.

Tillbrook is a young firm, and I don't pretend otherwise. What I offer is current, hands-on familiarity with the work we automate, honest scoping, documented handoffs, and engagement terms structured so the risk sits with us until the system proves itself.
